A Job of Work Release Party
THE SUGAR BAR, NYC
March 14, 2014
Joining me that night: Claire Daly (baritone sax), Elizabeth Frascoia (trombone), Joe Vincent Tranchina (piano), Saadi Zain (bass), Jacob Melchior (drums).
A very hip night with a great crowd at the late Nic Ashford & Valerie Simpson's club on W. 72nd Street.
Seems I'm too tall for the bandstand's archway, so I got to be down on the floor, where it's easier to move about the room, singing.

The writer of A Job of Work's title track, Tom was instrumental in tracking down the long-lost rights to the song from the depth's of EMI's song vaults. Thanks for the help, Tom! And thanks for enjoying my re-arrangement of your stunning song!
